  • You definitely have the right idea. It makes sense that the family of the victim should decide on an appropriate punishment. The solutions we have right now hardly equal the crimes they committed to get there.

  • As with all other new technologies, the person just has to be smart about it. Technology does not have to be a bad thing. We're told from the time we can communicate not to talk to strangers. That applies with internet.

  • Yikes. I think the son needs to get a life and support himself. And feel extremely quilty for putting all of that stress on his mom. And the mom should put some tough love into action. $30,000 dollars in debt is just rediculous.

  • I'm not sure about schools that randomly test the entire student body, but for the schools that test just the students in the extracurricular activities, students that refuse are kicked off the team and aren't allowed back on even if they are willing to take it later on.

  • I believe that he is equally worthy of both punishments. The way I see it, if he gets life in prison, he won't only be pondering his wrongdoings, but will also be receiving punishment from his fellow inmates. Prison life is a lot harder than just being put in a corner to think about how you were bad.

  • It's interesting to think that squirrels can cause so much debate. I think several years ago, I remember people making a fuss about seagulls. And recently, PETA started capturing cats and took away their ability to reproduce. I actually agree with that situation though.
